This is unrealy close to feeling exactly how playing on a VLT feels at the bar or casino. Not just the spot on graphics and game rules but more importantly the distance between the card and the way you tap the screen with yor finger. Would be absolutely perfect if I could double down a winning hand. If you have always enjoyed video poker but have absolutely no desire to feed twenty dollar bills into a machine designed to keep them this is perfect. Very very good, brilliantly implemented on maybe the first consumer device in history that can really replecate the experience. Wouldnt even be close if you were playing with a mouse or keyboard, the large touch screen matches perfectly with the experience so I need to give 5 stars even though it could be a little more feature rich for 8 dollars.

Looks like real game and plays a lot like it. Dont like that WINNER flashes well before hand finishes dealing. Also at 5 bucks all the games you can play on live machine should be included. Switching from points to actual dollar amounts like real machines would be nice too. A good start but right now I feel its about five times overpriced. Good first effort but it should be developed to play exactly like real machines to be worth 5 bucks IMHO.

Jacks or better is all this game is about. Not worth the price. It should be free and then it would too much. Card graphics are not distinctive enough. Should have used the standard Vegas deck graphics. For this kind of money it should have several poker games such as deuces wild, joker poker, and multi hand games.

I would have liked to see a lot more features for the price. Should be 99¢, not $4.99. There are no instructions, no explanation of winning hands, no info screen of any kind. It feels a lot like a cash grab by the developers.

Been playing this for about a year now and there has never been a decent win. No fun at all.

Where is the speed button. Bring it back

The fact that I could play it a few hours without crashing, that says a lot about its stableness. It shows the dev has put quite a lot of effort into this app. It never quits on me, never crashes. Its very solid. Then there is the gameplay: Im an avid poker player, but I actually never played video poker before. The on-screen instruction is easy to understand. The game is addictive. Now, Im a video poker fan too! I did try a few others as well, but none are as good. Highly recommended.

If you like poker, youll like this one. If you like video poker, youll like it even more.

Nice clean look. Easy to use, but the cards are really hard to read the numbers. A necessary enhancement is changeable card styles. Sound effects for a winning hand would also be nice

Not worth the money. This should have been a free version and the paid version should have had more features/games. Way to over priced for what it is. I think the other reviews are from the developers friends and family.

Thanks for adding just about everything I ever mentioned to make your game better. I really appreciate the response!!! But If I could suggest a couple minor changes to the current incarnation? Have the winning sound toned down just a touch, its a great addition just a touch too harsh and also have the the WINNER graphic not show up until the last card has flipped. I now cant wait for the the upcoming new modes and will gladly give a five star rating when they do show up.

This is perfect for any poker fans, and great addition to your iPad. I like this very much, but I wish there is some way to mute the background casino noise. The added sound effect is nice though. I definitely would recommend to anyone who likes video poker or even just regular pokers.

Everytime my husband and I go to casinos, this is the game I play. I dont play blackjacks, cant handle the pressure... and I dislike most of the slots there. So I have come to like Video Poker. On Mother day, I got this app as a gift from my husband! This is just like the ones I play at casino!

This is definitely the best Jacks or Better Video Poker game on the app store! It just keeps getting better! Worth every penny!

I would like to see few changes. I agree with the other player that the casino noise is a great sound effect but it is to loud. As a player I would like the ability to turn all sound effects off or at least lower the volume. I also think that you should offer more poker games such Bonus Poker and Double Double Bonus Poker. The game should offer the player the choice of dominations to play i.e: $.25 $.50 $1.00 and $5.00. Allow the player to track winnings in terms of coins or dollars. This would make the game more like the real thing.

Ok, I think this a pretty cool game, good graphics, but not for 8 bucks! Maybe $2, after playing it several times 2 bucks is what it should have cost, or even .99 cents.

Nice. But... A little more suspense please. Slow down the deal. And as already suggested, Delay the WINNER. And, when u get a chance, a few more of the typical video poker options of play would be fun. I give the 4 **** for effort but at this point I think its really a 99 cent game.

Developer made updates I suggested based on how the real video poker machines work in Vegas. This is a super iPad app now. Great response from the developer. Thanks.

1.Makes winning sound before winning cards are fully delt. 2.Cant reset the credits to start over. Otherwise very casino-like. Ive tried several others and this is by far the best.

Hi, you need to change 1 very important thing... There is no "YOU LOSE" or "BUSTED" graphic when you do NOT win. If I play 10 losing hands in a row, it is easy to get confused as to whether I am on the beginning of one hand or the end of the last hand. Other things needing to be addressed are: - Many cards have squished/cut off numbers. Face Cards in particular look odd where the J in Jack appears and cuts into the image - Maybe add a sound of a coin dropping each time you start a new game, and somehow animate your winnings going down - Similarly, there should be some sort of animation of your winnings going UP when you win, maybe even a 1 at a time count up, with sounds or something - sound effects need work, and you need to be able to adjust the volume of all sounds. Add card "flip" sound when they deal, add a "ding" for each coin you win, add a LOSING sound... Remember, with iPad video poker, there is no thrill of winning actual money, so you need to make it as exciting as possible visually and audio-wise - The Doc
